Kelsey Pope is an award-winning creative director and video producer with more than 15 years of experience taking productions from first concept to final cut. Based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, she has created brand, training, and social content for companies in FinTech, the automotive aftermarket, and live events, and has led Dark Square Productions / Red Dot Productions since 2015. Across every role, she is known for building processes that teams keep using long after launch.
Today, as Marketing Production Manager at Agora Data, a FinTech company serving the subprime lending market, she leads the company's marketing and video production, overseeing social media, campaigns, and performance reporting while personally directing, shooting, and editing every brand video.
At Agora, she redesigned how the company reports marketing metrics and KPIs, served on the launch team for the Agora Guaranteed Funds Program, the company's most successful sales retention program to date, and helped create the Agora Sales League, which gamified the sales process and lifted performance across the organization. When the marketing team lost multiple creative staff, she absorbed their responsibilities while sales volume continued to grow month over month.
Before Agora, Kelsey served as Social Media Director and Content Creator for S&S Truck Parts, National Drivetrain, and Rear Wheel Performance, leading creative across every brand platform, from product imaging and packaging design to training content for millions of consumers and retail distributors. She also served as Creative Director of Rear Wheel Performance, an experimental entertainment and educational YouTube channel, and managed the brands' presence at national trade shows, hosting executive teams and customers. After she took over the media department, views on the brands' primary social platform grew by more than 7000% and subscriptions by more than 1500%.
Through Dark Square Productions / Red Dot Productions, Kelsey partners with clients to develop concepts, write scripts, and deliver finished productions, often under budget, filling every role from director and director of photography to editor, colorist, and audio operator. That work has earned multiple production and art awards and repeat business from more than 75% of clients, and included serving as cultural liaison for an international studio filming an independent feature in the U.S.
A background in touring live events gives Kelsey a practical, systems-minded edge. Hired as one of the first event day crew members at XL Event Lab, she created the emergency call code system and the crew member guide adopted across every tour, and was quickly promoted to Event Experience Manager. In that role, she wrote the build manager guide now used on every tour worldwide and cut the tour's electrical repair costs by more than 55%.
Kelsey began her career at Dallas Young Actors Studio, where as Assistant Technical Director she remotely directed live three-camera studio productions, relaunched the studio's newsletter to help lift donations by nearly 10%, and taught students ages 13 to 20 the craft of behind-the-scenes production, building an award-winning team on the Dallas film festival circuit. She holds an Associate of Science from North Lake College.
